    This Mint Has Roots!

Have you ever seen mint roots? Holy moly did the chocolate mint need a new bigger pot. The roots are out of control! This is why they say to have mint only in containers since the roots are so vigorous. When I pulled the root ball out there was like no soil in the container. I removed half the roots and added it to a bigger container and new soil. I feel like I needed a saw just to cut in in half. I also harvested all of the chocolate mint and cut the stems down to the soil level. That way it can grow new leaves and begin a fresh new life. I definitely need a bigger pot for mint when I eventually move.

If you have mint that is ever struggling check the roots to see if it's roots bound. Cutting it way back will also help promote new growth
